1:12 Industrial Loft model completed!

Uff, it took me a while to finish this. But motivation is not the same every day ;-)

Well it is done now and I have made two videos over the past three weeks.
It is incredible how long it takes to make an interesting short film!!!

The cutting an assembling for both videos was done in about 12 hours.
But selecting the right pix, fixing the exposure, etc.
And finding the right tools to make a clip that was steady and had the right focus.
Very time-consuming and sometimes frustrating... you think you have it all just to see that something has fallen down, or the windows have too much glare from the outside, etc.

DONE!!!

Here the house:

And here the 'making of' video:

I hope you will enjoy :-)

I wish you all a wonderful Festive Season!

  3. Once again you've created a masterpiece in both the project itself and in the videos that let our eyes fully explore it's wonder! I love so many of the tiny elements and furnishings that you made from scratch to give this loft the perfect vibe! Well done, Marion! I'm so happy that your new studio has loads of space for many more projects and I can't wait to see what you'll design next!

  5. oh Jodi, you have summed this up so nicely. It is all about the tiny things, right. My recipe is not to go overboard with decorating. I think in this way, the eye can detect a little easier. And - yes - this new workroom is bliss!!! Office at the same time - but I start taking it easier now that I moved home with everything. CU in Chicago?

    1. No Chicago for me this year, going to Arizona and Vegas to let mom go "Girls Gone Wild" for her 70th birthday. My daughter and I might try for the year after, depending on where/when she and her fiance settle on wedding plans. Have fun and come home with trunks full!

  7. Oh Marion this is wonderful. The Industrial Loft has turned out just amazing (of course) but the video's takes it all to a whole new level. It is so fabulous to be able to explore all the tiny, intricate detail in the first one and the then the 'behind the scene' in the second.
Thank you so much for taking the time to compile the two!
I look forward to see what happens next in that fabulous new room of yours.
    Have a lovely Christmas.

  8. anna, yes, the video makes one look at a mini differently: the details are much more obvious than if one looks at the real model. obviously, the flaws are visible, too ;-). so, I had to correct and fix quite a few things during the video process...
have a great festive season while I figure out what I will do next :-)
