... and that it why the sofa HAS to be leather!!
I personally would not even consider leather as an option because I always slide around on this material. But all my male friends are totally set on leather couches....
Granted, with a carpet and some accessories leather looks pretty cool!
The reading spot that clamps onto the iron pole needed a bit of creativity. I found the shade in a model building shop for ship models. After spending some one hour in there I found these metal parts, hoping that I could use them for the clamp..
And now this guy needs a TV and some sort of a bookshelf....
Hugs, Marion

Wow! Looks really good. I wouldn't mind a leather couch but they tend to show claw punctures very easily.
ReplyDeletelove it! you are so practical :-). just hope this guy does not have cats or a dog ... hihi
DeleteOh Marion what a sophisticate scene! I LOVE the sofa, and the way you've solved making clips for the light is ingenious! My parents had smooth leather sofas for a time growing up, and in the summer, I remember getting sweaty legs from sitting on it. This type of textured leather would have been a great solution! Against the brick wall, this scene is really cool!
ReplyDeleteHa, it must be a man thing. I have a comfy fabric sofa and my Husband sits on a leather recliner :P The spotlight is brilliant. I love your solution for the clamps. The sofa looks great too :)
ReplyDeleteYour super cool leather sectional is a not only the ideal choice for you little Mr. but the perfect colour too! The large back cushions remind me of ultra suede and your BRILLIANT clamp on reading lamp, effectively accentuates the subtleties of pattern and textures.
ReplyDeleteI also digging the portable coffee table cubes and LOVE your inclusion of the laptop and the t.v. remote- what man would be able to resist this much "COOL"
to chill in !!!!!? ;D
So many layers to this scene and space I love it!!! The rug adds a nice touch to the masculine space and the sofa legs are fabulous paired with that style. Is that chrome on the tables from the marker you mentioned? It looks amazing, wow okay I need to get one of those.
ReplyDeleteAnd that light... it's a scene stealer. Absolutely amazing!!! WOW
hi kristine, no, this wass not done with the malatow chrome marker - sprayed this some time ago. but I am sure it would look equally good ;-)
DeleteI've been absent for a long time, but have caught up. The loft is looking great. Did you make the sofa?
ReplyDeleteyes, I made the sofa. but it is a leather imitation since real leather would have been too thick to work with in this scale ;-)
DeleteGood Post
